I haven’t had direct experience with vitaCare. What can you tell me about its services?
A:
vitaCareSM Prescription Services works closely with healthcare providers, pharmacies and insurance providers to ensure that your patients have easy and convenient access to their prescribed therapy.
Q:
Will health insurance cover my patient’s prescriptions?
A:
Your patient's prescriptions may be covered by their health insurance plan. To ensure that they are paying the lowest out-of-pocket cost that is available to them, each patient is assigned to a Customer Care Advocate who will do an insurance benefits verification and research all available manufacturers' coupons and additional savings programs.
Q:
What if my patient doesn’t have insurance?
A:
vitaCare Prescription Services has access to manufacturers' patient savings programs designed to give patients their medication at an affordable price.

Q:
How do I send a prescription into vitaCare?
A:
There are four different ways to send in a prescription:
  1. E-prescribe to vitaCare Prescription Services at NCPDP# 5728045 (951 Yamato Road, Suite 160 Boca Raton, FL 33431)
  2. Fax the prescription to 1-800-891-4320
  3. Call the prescription in to 1-877-992-3554
  4. Email the patient’s prescription to customerservice@vitacarerx.com

Q:
What happens after I send in my patient’s prescription?
A:
A vitaCare Prescription Services representative will reach out to your patient within 24-48 hours of receiving the prescription to coordinate refilling their prescription at their pharmacy of choice or delivered to their home.
Q:
How does my patient receive their medication?
A:
All prescriptions that are received before 1:00 PM ET are transferred to the patient's pharmacy of choice. Any orders that are finalized after that time, will transfer out the following business day. Patients have the option of picking up their prescription at their pharmacy of choice or delivered to their home at no additional cost.
Q:
Why should my patients use vitaCare Prescription Services?
A:
vitaCare has a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with the experience and knowledge to answer patient questions and help ensure a patient can get on and stay on the prescription therapy you prescribed.
Q:
What if a prescription is recalled from the manufacturer?
A:
In the event that a prescription is recalled, vitaCare will notify all of the patients that have been affected and advise them how to properly dispose of the medication.
